I love mosaics and making them too!
I usually do this outside in our garden - on our garden wall, windowsills, bird baths, garden tables, etc.
Well, this one turned out to be a beautiful, large bowl. I made the base of the bowl out of concrete.
In the center is a great big ammonite, around which all kinds of mosaic pieces wind in a spiral to continue the snail shape.
I used mostly precious handmade Tiffany glass, which I cut into the right shape with a band saw - a very time-consuming and tedious process! But I think the end result was worth the effort :D
There are also ceramic pieces (some with real gold lustre), glass nuggets, small faceted gemstones, labradorite, another small ammonite and a hand-wound artist's pearl on this beautiful bowl.
A real feast for the eyes!

Ich liebe Mosaike und ebenso sie herzustellen!
Meistens tobe ich mich dazu draußen in unserem Garten aus - an unserer Gartenmauer, Fensterbrettern, Vogeltränken, Gartentische etc.
Nun, hier ist es eine wunderschöne, große Schale geworden. Die Basis der Schale habe ich aus Beton hergestellt.
Im Zentrum liegt ein toller großer Ammonit, um welchen sich dann spiralförming alle möglichen Mosaikstücke schlängeln um die Schneckenform weiterzuführen.
Ich habe hier zum Großteil wertvolle handemachte Tiffanygläser verwendet, welche ich alle mit der Bandsäge in die passende Form gesägt habe - ein sehr aufwendiger und langwieriger Prozess! Aber das Endergebnis war die Mühe wert finde ich :D
Desweiteren finden sich Keramikstückchen (teilweise mit Echtgoldlüster), Glasnuggets, kleine facettierte Edelsteinchen, Labradorit, noch ein kleiner Ammonit sowie eine handgewickelte Künstlerperle auf dieser wunderschönen Schale.
Eine echte Augenweide!
